The Come Along Too Crew was invited to The Fintess Hangout (TFH) in Godalming to try out one of the anti-gravity fitness classes. So what happens when you take 8 toddlers, 2 babies and a couple of 'pop-up' babysitters along too? A whole lotta fun is what!

The Fitness Hangout in Godalming was one of the first AntiGravity Aerial studios in the UK. Owned by Pole and AntiGravity expert Jo Dandridge, you can take a variety of classes including Aerial Hoop, Pole, AntiGravity Pilates and Yoga.
I know, it looks intimidating. When we asked one friend if she wanted to come along her response was, 'Jesus," and then she promptly left the Facebook group. But honestly, it's suitable for ALL fitness levels. You don't have to be crazy flexible, or even that coordinated. It's revolutionary in relieving compressed joints and aligning the body from head to toe. It's also fantastic for core strength and cardio.
Apparently the technique was originally created for athletes and gymnasts as a restorative/rehabilitaive exercise. Lured by these amazing benefits we arranged for two babysitters to join us and look after the little ones while we played.
The Fitness Hangout studio is gorgeous. The natural light and orange hammocks create a very calm vibe. I can only imagine how magical it would be to do a candlelit class, for instance. And the workout, my God the workout!!
Jo took us through everything we needed to know and went at the perfect pace. It doesn't take long to get confident in the hammocks. You're not really worrying about falling out, messing up, looking a fool, etc. It's the kind of freedom of movement you see in kids at the playground - not really thinking about it, just playing around and having fun.

We ended the session with a lovely cuddle inside the hammocks with our little ones. I could have stayed in there all day, my squirmy little monkey had other thougths though. The hour went way to quickly and we're already planning our next upside down adventure.

If you'd like to give it a go, The Fitness Hangout are hosting a special workshop on 1st February exclusively for Come Along Too members. There won't be on-site childcare but non-mobile babies under 12 months are welcome to attend. For more pics of our Aerial Yoga adventure follow us on Facebook!
