What if I told you there was an affordable boutique gym that looks like it was transplanted from an uber cool lane in East London to Farnham? What if I also told you there was easy (and cheap) parking, an amazing cafe AND you could bring your kids?! Welcome to BREATHE Studios!
BREATHE Studios is a new fitness concept in Farnham by Personal Trainer John Cann. It's set in a gorgeous loft space behind Sainsbury's (and right next to the Stay & Play, more on that gem in another post).
They have started a new Mummies Move class and they invited Come Along Too to come in to try it out. So off we went: 8 ladies, 10 preschoolers, 3 toddlers and 2 babies.
I have to admit, the big pull for me was RIDE, their indoor spin experience. I had the opportunity to work with U.K. fitness guru Tim Weeks (the man responsible for Psycle, the U.K.'s first Soul Cycle inspired studio) over the summer and BREATHE looked like the real deal.
Walking in to BREATHE is like stepping into fitness heaven. They have thought of everything. Need a hair band? You'll find a bowl of new hair ties at the check-in.

Complimentary Lemon, Mint & Cucumber water on-tap. The changing and shower room is industrical chic at it's best and is stocked with GHD straighteners and blow dryers. You'll find an amazing selection of freshly made salads, smoothies and energy balls at Nourish, the on-site cafe run by John's wife Fia. You'll honestly want to move in.
Because we were keen to try RIDE as well as the Mummies Move class we started our session with an intense 20 minute "warm-up" on the bikes. Sweat pumping, music blasting and lights going - it was like every awesome night of my 20's rolled up into a fat burning ball of fun (and without the hangover).

Then shit got real. John worked us HARD during the second half. We used TRX, Medicine Balls and the babies to keep our heart rate up and muscles engaged.

BREATHE has mats and toys for the little ones (John and Fia have two small kids and understand the struggle). The older kids were immersed in the world of iPad's and Lego but occasionally they'd get involved too which was hilarious. After class, we all raided the fridge at Nourish. The food is made fresh by Fia and is reasonably priced. With it being half-term I haven't been food prepping so I grabbed a few meals to have over the next few days. If you work locally Nourish will deliver to your office. Mummies Move takes place on Monday's at 10:30 or Thursday's at 12:30. You can buy a 5 class pass for £65 and 10 classes for £120. Passes expire 12 months after purchase and you can share them with your partner or a friend!! Head to their website for more info and to book.

Thanks BREATHE for having us! Can't wait to come back again. x
